Lunch with the Wife at Firestone Walker tap room in Buellton.

Kettle Sour (not sour enough) and Nitro Merlin Milk Stout (nice)

Great stop, our first time stopping at the Beulton location, we usually stop at their Paso Robles location.

@Yakster I would like to hear your thoughts on that one, and how it compares to Dragons Milk.

When I was at Total Wines, they were sampling beers.  I skipped the Angry Orchard and Samuel Adams samples and had some IPAs and a Kettle Sour from a company that makes Taco Truck from Turlock (one of the hot armpits of Calif).  The Change Order IPA was good and their Kettle Sour was better and more sour than the Firestone Walker kettle sour I had last weekend, but I learned that Kettle Sours are like sour beers with training wheels for folks who don't like sours.  a bit too boring for me so I know that it's a style that doesn't appeal much to me (much like lagers).

Tried my first bottle today.  Good serving temp, never put it in the fridge, just the garage because like my humidors, my beer fridge is full.

It has a malty, molasses / licorice finish and some bourbon notes, I gave it a 4.25 out've 5, but the Dragon's Milk wins out with a more interesting, spicy finish.
