I go on a walk most every morning after 32oz of hot Peter's famous roasted bean juice and a robusto. Lately I have been humping two gallons of water in a backpack the first 1/2 mile. There is a small pond loaded with tadpoles in the woods along my route. The pond is drying up so I give it a drink to help the tadpoles live. Frogs and toads are disappearing in these parts so as a caretaker I'm trying to do my part. My legs are getting stronger but I sure as he ll wish it would rain.

Had a great day mowing and gardening, got my heart rate up into the 130-140 range for a good half hour.

The rodeo is in town this weekend 25 miles away in Jackson County, first time ever going to one.

Got home from work yesterday and ate a large can of Chile. Took a nap at 3:30 pm. Woke up from nap at 6:25 this morning.

Up in my studio at 4:00AM my usual time. Ground some of Peters famous beans and brewed 32 OZ. Lit a Hyena and carved till daylight. Lit out on my hour and a half walk carrying 2 gallons of water for the tadpoles I'm trying to keep alive. A half mile in I stopped and gave the tadpoles a drink. Nice mile and a half walk alongside a little trout stream. Saw Indian Paintbrush blooming. Started climbing out of the bottom up an old log trail. 25 minute climb to the top of a ridge. 20 more minutes and back at my studio and carving again. Got work to do in the garden.

About 28 miles on the bike today, moderately hilly, averaged about 12 mph.

I really appreciate the many trees the city of Milwaukee plants along our streets, (as an aside, in much of the 20th century MKE had a socialist gov't. and they did much to improve the lives of the people, including creating more parks than any other city), and it seems the majority are either ash, maple, or linden (also called basswood). The majority of the trees on my street are lindens and they are in bloom right now, and their sweet fragrance is truly delightful. With highs around 80 and reasonable dew points my windows stay open 24/7, and the perfume of the lindens is hitting me as I sit here in my recliner, getting ready for my day.

And that a socialist government was good for the citizens? Proves there are good and bad aspects for most political flavors. Yeah, I am a moderate socially liberal - fiscally conservative, so sue me, lol.

I was talking to a coworker and was describing someone else, and I said "They're not the brightest tool in the shed." I will never recover, I think I need to get a new job now, and I probably need to move to a different part of the country.
