I was absent-mindedly cutting butter for a sauce last night and nobody in my house is impressed that they all came out looking like Missouri's. Please tell me that my family is totally fuçked in the head and that this is actually super cool
@ScotchnSmoke sux lots of large wéiners. And tons of small ones.9 -
It's you Frank. How can you say it looks like Missouri when there is no bootheel? Missouri has a bootheel.

The ancient art of butter divination reveals that you better check your boot heels and the tires on your car!

Looks more like a fat, upside-down Vermont. Ya know...without a bootheel.
I mean, am I wrong.

Well since were just gonna argue in every thread for arguments sake….shouldn’t it be a BOOT to have a boot heel?
If it don’t bother me, it don’t bother me. Just leave me alone.

Pretty nice use of a saw blade. I like the red eye.
Here's something I made a while back using a blade and a pulley. The title is "And the war keeps rolling along"17 -
Still figuring out what color or colors to paint the frame.
Painting masks now.

Now I’ve got this figured out.

Nice work, Patrick. But that floor!!!

Not my work. It was staggered and randomly placed correctly though. Notice how the ends don’t align, or come close.

I made two of these adjustable braces to go between my stereo rack and the wall, to minimize the effect of floor vibrations and foot-falls on my turntable. They help, surprisingly well. I wanted them to be adjustable so that I could turn the carriage bolt in or out and thought it might aid their installation, but in the end, it could've been a simple piece of wood cut to the right length (that would've been a guess, not knowing how much push against the wall would be required to "anchor" the rack against the wall). It was a fun little thought experiment and fun to make, and with the expected results, I'm happy to have them in place.

Good job, Peter. One suggestion would be to use a small block of rubber for a bumper instead of wood. Probably not necessary but it would damper vibration somewhat.
