Hey Steve, I can do the 5 Vegas Limitada. How does one from each year, except 2005, sound?
  • StoogeeStoogee Posts: 157
That is fine Joe however you want to do it lets keep this moving along. Address sent again in case you need it still.

I've still got your addy. So, I'll probably have this out tomorrow.

If there is a Limitada year you think you'd prefer, let me know and I can work that out too, I have more than a few of each year.
  • StoogeeStoogee Posts: 157

I thought so. Some year by year comparison to be had. Though, in my opinion, while the '06 and '07 may be comparable enough, the '08 is miles away from either one.

Better, worser, or just way different?
  • kuzi16kuzi16 Posts: 14,633 ✭✭✭✭
i liked the 06 and the 07 (06 is better IMHO) but i have yet to have the 08.

Well, I think they are all good I agree with kuzi on the '06 being better than the '07, the '08 is just very different. It utilizes an oscuro corojo wrapper for one, and has a "darker" flavor profile to it. Also, it is more of a medium-full bodied cigar as it uses several different ligero fillers and Dominican Piloto as well. The two previous years are more medium, with the '06 using an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper with Dominican, Brazilian and Nicaraguan fillers, and the '07 using a Nicaraguan wrapper, Dominican corojo binder and Nicaraguan and Peruvian fillers.

All good in their own right though.

Alright, had to do a bit of a brain scratch to figure out what I want to wish for...but, here goes. Any of the following will be good for me:

    Padilla 1932
    Padilla 1948
    La Flor Dominicana Coronado
    La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero
    Cuesta Rey Sun Grown

I'd love to hook you up with some La Flor Dominicanas, but I won't have any until I go to the event at the B&M on the 17th. I'm going to get to meet Litto Gomez there. Best of luck with your choices though.

Hee. I did hit the B&M today, and they did have some LFD Double Ligeros. But I didn't remember that you had wished for them.

    I plead age.

    And indifference.

Your gonna have a great time, the chisel is an awesome smoke, full flavored and loaded with spice (the original blend, haven't tried the new blend which he will call vintage line for each year of production)

Hey Joe, I have some Padron's but they are natural, sorry I only have one or two of the other sticks you want to try.

  • j0z3rj0z3r Posts: 9,403 ✭✭
Bummer. Well, I don't have a problem with a couple wishes being granted, like one or two of one stick and one or two of another.

I have some Padron naturals as well, I really liked them and wanted to try the maduro, I kinda figured that would be any easy one to fill...everyone and their half-brother likes Padron.

At this point, Joz, I think you've named just about every cigar I don't own. Your odds can only improve from here.
