Posted in the wrong thread earlier. I am in a few pipe groups on Facebook and from some wheeling and dealing last week, this pipe arrived today. All pictures are from the seller. Mine don't capture it right. It's a stanwell legend 126. Seller also included samples of Cornell and Diehl small batch Carolina red and Iwan Ries IRC VaPer slices
I've wanted a Stanwell HCA for a long time. A particular shape and finish, and I talked myself out of it about 4 years ago. I kept thinking, 'well, I'll get one some other time', until it disappeared. Last week, one appeared, the day after placing an order for cigars. It was the wrong finish, but, OK, I can live with that.
Hmm, this may take some diplomacy. Checked every day and began laying the groundwork with the warden... wife.
checked last night, it was gone!

Well, having spent so much time at it, I brought her to the computer to show the difference between what was available and what I wanted...and it appeared.
