Thanks for the kind words Edward. The shallow bowl below the burl weed pots is made of a Wild Cherry crotch. If the tree divides from the main trunk into two smaller trunks the section at the junction is called a crotch. If you rip that crotch through the pith with a chainsaw it will expose a beautiful flame figure on each side. The flame is usually not thick on small trees but thicker on large trees. It is easy to turn through it and loose it. Hence the shallower bowl. Cherry, maple, walnut, oak, birch, all have flame figures hiding within.

I made a walking stick for Faye in the hope that she'll be able to come home from the hospital, and be able to walk again someday.

Funny story I worked there for 80 hours once back when. Almost lost all those hours for getting into any argument on the last day.
Funny story I worked there for 5 years and quit on my birthday. I worked with special needs (as the term was back then) adults to get them ready for work placement.
@First_Warrior Do you have any kind of website or social media for your work? These all look awesome and I want to waste some time on the internet browsing everything.
I used to have a web page but I let it lapse. Don't do social media as I'm a old stick in the mud. Mostly I have a couple of galleries handling my work.

Very nice, Rodger…. 👍
Those are beautiful Rodger, especially the bowl in the upper right. What kind of wood is it made from? Please keep posting pictures of your work.

A nubber, made from some scrap dowel rod and a couple of finishing nails ground to finer points.
