He remembered the other horses and made sure to nuzzle them. Happy camper.

There are already some laws on the books. Trouble is they are seldom enforced.jlmarta said:@jd50ae

A local lawyer who takes on animal abuse cases decided to get a little more active in helping the critters. He adopted both mom and offspring. He has a good eye because these 2 have a great history and are kind of famous in the pony world. By word of mouth he has provide a great home.jd50ae said:Every once in awhile you have a good reason to get out of bed. Some days are so good you have a reason to stay out of bed.
For instance, 2 days ago a fellow showed up with a round hay bail and 6 bags of feed. It seems he heard about Holly's efforts from our "turkey" customer and just figured he would stop buy.
I was already up because I heard my wife exclaim "a new baby". Named Fable, and he is all legs and healthy.
It was a good day.
The boys were out 4wheeling when they jumped the Obion River. Below they saw a little puppy trying to claw its way up the bank. Of course the boys rescued him and brought him home. As far as we can figure he was thrown out of a car, and because of that he was lame in one foot. Took him the vet and they could not fix it. About 6 months later I accidentally stepped on his foot, low and behold the foot was fixed.
We named him River.
After a few weeks and a lot of care (and food) he made it clear he wanted to be an outside dog, what are you gonna do, say no?
He grew into a beautiful dog, solid black. We know he was part Bull Dog and we assume he had some lab in him. Labs have to be the most promiscuous dogs I know of.
When he walked he was a sight to see. Head and tail up, with a trot like a horse. River got along with everyone, including all the different rescues. He did however take great pleasure in harassing the neighbors geese.
He suffered through the loss of an eye and a snake bite. When he asked to come live in the house he had the worst tick infestation I have ever seen. Two baths and finally I told my grand stepson that I would pay him a penny for every tick he pulled off. The kid made $1.98. He eventually came down with tick disease and the seizures. I would hold him until the seizure was over and eventually they stopped. He never once did any whining, amazing dog. He stayed by my side, was always glad to see me and he slept in my bed every chance he got.
I will miss him, a lot.
The whole movement of their body when their tail wags must be a pit thing.YankeeMan said:Last week, we rescued a boxer/pit mix. She is the most gentle, loving dog I've ever seen. We call her wiggle butt because when she wags her tail, which is often, she wags her whole body.

And if anything is close, it's getting knocked over.
That and he still thinks he's a tiny puppy that can fit in your lap. LOL!
