Marty, which browser are you using?
In Firefox, once I get to the Forum page, there's a gray bar across the top with labels/icons of "Categories" "Discussions" and "Activities" on the left, and on the right, there's my own info and avatar, followed by labels/icons for "Notifications" "inbox" "bookmarks" and "settings".
Do you see any of those?

There isn't one for inbox. The others are there. This is true whether I'm on my iPhone or my PC.
I'm using IE for a browser...
EDIT: I mis-spoke. The one for the inbox is there but it hasn't changed since 5/26 and there have been PMs sent to me since then. They're just not allowed into my inbox....

A while back I made a list of abbreviations/acronyms used on the forum and in the past I would occasionally add new stuff to the list (first post). I can't edit the first post anymore. Can you edit the first post of a sticky thread? I don't necessarily want it to be a sticky. It's just that sometimes editing the info in the first post is necessary. Any ideas?

Okay, @krebsie, now that we seem to have my inbox problem solved perhaps we could move on to yet another annoying idiosyncrasy regarding iPhones and this forum.
We've gotten rid of the auto-save thingy but there's a residual part of it still hanging on - namely that I can type a sentence or two and then the stupid keyboard locks up. The only way I've found to deal with that is to click on the 'done' button and then tap my screen where I want the cursor to appear and then the keyboard will reappear and I can type another sentence or two. This has happened about 5 or 6 times just while I've been typing this message.
Your mission, Mr. Krebsie, should you choose to accept it, will be to search out the cause of this annoyance and correct it. This message will self-destruct in five seconds......

Hey, Krebsie... Here are a couple points for you to ponder -
First, the auto-save thingy doesn't pop up it's head any more but every couple sentences I have to hit the 'done' button in order to unlock the damned keyboard. It's happened twice just during this paragraph.
Second, it sure would be nice to be notified by email when I have a PM in my inbox. Other forums can do this.....

Are you talking about your account that you use to buy cigars from CCom? If so, mine's the same but I don't get notified of PMs. I DO get notified about posts to threads I've bookmarked. On my iPhone I just did this. On the forum, click the hashtag thingy. Click your profile and then "edit profile" and look for "notification preferences" and click that. Then you should see a list of things for which you choose the type of notification you want. One of them is PM notifications to your email account.jlmarta said:

i click on the hash marks at upper right on my iPhone and it takes me to a list of links I can select. One of which is my user name. It has a number alongside it. In my case the number is 109.
What is the significance of this number? I find no correlation to it anywhere. The link takes me to my profile page.
Oh, and by the way, this stupid thing still freezes up my keyboard every couple sentences and I have to hit the 'done' button to unlock it. MOST ANNOYING!!0 -
