Depends on which party they belong to. The Dems are packing it with lefty stuff to make the reps vote against it so they can use it against them in November.

It's 5 Republican Senators who aren't allowed to vote. So the other side is blocking the Bill for political reasons, politics.

Putting 1.8T back into the economy cant hurt but I agree they probably have their own personal agendas to fulfill as well.

The standard rule is that you have to be on the floor to vote. Perhaps this is an excellent time to "test" how best to handle remote voting. It may help both parties through this and allow all members to vote without risking making others sick. And an ending date / other restrictions could be included so the capability isn't abused.

I wonder when was this rule implemented? Had the Telegraph or Pony Express been created yet? Even in these modern times I'd prefer for them to have to be present to vote, but perhaps we could keep National / Global emergencies in mind and make an exception sometimes.

I agree. With today's technology, there is no reason to maintain that tradition, especially during a pandemic. On the flip side, it could establish a poor precedent for the "normal" operation of Congress. I could see some Senator or House member from either side of the aisle saying, "Fred got to vote when he was home with the Corona virus. Why can't I vote while I am out raising money?" or on vacation or whatever excuse they might have.

NBC/Today Show's disgustingly desperate spin to blame Trump for some stupid couple's decision to take poisonous dose of Fish Tank Drugs. Instead of directly asking her where she got the idea, they first ask this obviously dumb person if she saw the President's press conference where he mentioned the drug. This is NBC's pathetic attempt to make it look like Trump suggested everybody should take fish tank drugs.

Holy Crap! This is ludicrous. More news outlets are trying to plant this dumb idea in peoples heads that Trump is to blame for this dumb couple's dumb decision to ingest Fish Tank Drugs. If the virus doesn't kill us, stupidity just might overrun our entire society and kill us slower but with more certain success . Reminds me of that "Idiocracy" movie.

^^^^^ Those who love sausage and the law should never watch either being made. I suppose that applies to congresscritters. I seriously doubt I could deal with watching a session of either house. I'd be yelling "GET ON WITH IT ALREADY!" from the gallery.

"proceeded to purposely cough on our fresh produce, and a small section of our bakery, meat case and grocery," Fasula said."... we had no choice but to throw out all product she came in contact with,.Working closely with the Hanover Township health inspector, we identified every area that she was in, we disposed of the product and thoroughly cleaned and disinfected everything."

The health inspector may very well have inflated the total as well.

There's a thread on Home-Barista coffee forum discussing re-using paper coffee filters. Apparently some have been doing this since before the pandemic. Luckily I have plenty and several reusable filters (metal, glass)

I'll bet you don't even use eggshells in your grounds either.
My grandmother used to use roasted chicory and eggshells in her coffee.
Evidently, it was a thing back then.
