Hmmm, sounds like over 400,000 executions are in order, to me, but I have a low tolerance level for certain behaviors. Personally, I think that well placed cameras and a well trained firing squad would put an end to prison rape, too.

Please show where the NRA ever condoned this kind of behavior. Are there instructional films on how to gun down classmates? Or, have there been instructional courses on how to avoid even accidentally shooting anyone?
When a thug of African descent guns down a cop, do you say "Another banner day for BLM?
When a cop shoots down an unarmed black man, do you say "Blue Lives Matter wins again." ?
When you say dumb **** like that, you sound like a puppet with a pull string, and think like one, too.

"Idaho is a Constitutional Carry state, which means that we have the ability to carry a firearm without government restriction. No license or training needed, just you and your firearm are enough."
While I am not against gun ownership I do believe that a license and especially safety training are important. People are lazy. How did a 12-year-old get her hands on the weapon? Street? Reckless parent(s)?
Can't talk for Frank, but based on what he's said before, I think his post was too short and didn't convey what he meant; that the NRA needs to somehow come up with a way to posture themselves more clearly that they are against gun violence and offer some sort of solutions/legislation before the Congress comes up with something terrible.
I'm not a puppet, @Amos_Umwhat , although I do sometimes feel like people crawl up my ass for no reason, but mostly it's not just their hand...
I love how the gun guys go on the nuclear defense every time something like this is brought up lol. Talk about puppets and strings! That was straight out of the playbook!
What I meant by it, to clear everything up and to not offend the sensibilities of any fragile gunflakes, is that every time a 6th grader strikes up a shooting gallery in science class, the NRA has to be slapping and shaking their foreheads, thinking, "coulda done without that," like Tommy boy when the park bench broke underneath him. Today is not a win for the gun guys. That's what I meant.
Is that too puppet-y?
Edit I tagged @webmost by mistake. Lol my bad sorry

How can 100 new gun laws keep a 13 yo from getting a gun. Clearly the ones in place didn’t work worth a ****. Just for giggles what gun law would keep a 13 from being able to illegally acquire a gun. I am truly interested in the answer here.
Well I'm going to tell you how. Some of you might not like the answer.
You know what happens when a kid takes out mom's car joy riding and kills someone? Kid gets charged, mom gets sued. Mom is liable for what the 12 year old does in the car. A, because she's a kid. B because Mom is responsible to have control over her possessions.
Same thing here. Daddy has a revolver in the nightstand? Kid uses it in middle school? Sue the holy mother fück out of that parent.
I agree with Edward. I agree with Dave. Parents have no control over their children. Litigate, not legislate, their àsses into having some.

That would certainly help and work in some situations. Where I live, in the most-segregated/high-crime city in the US, it wouldn't help to sue many parents because they have nothing. Would we put them in prison because they can't pay the damages?
Too many kids grow up in single-parent households (mom) and I don't care how much she wants to keep her kid(s) on the straight and narrow, it's nigh impossible.

Completely agree with this and believe 100% that the parents should be charged also if it’s their gun. I believe if it wasn’t their gun but illegally obtained that they should a least be held liable for their child’s action, ie sued.
How about allowing the parents to discipline, without fear of conviction?
I've seen so many parents lose their kids to the system for little reason and now tons of parents fear the system.
Then people say it's the parents fault.
If you've been in the system, had family members who's kids are in the system or dealt with the system, then you know it is geared to instill fear in the parents.
I love when people who have never dealt with children's services, say it's the parent's fault, they don't discipline their kids. Right. Cause if they do, it's abuse and they either go to jail or lose their kids.
I'm sure some will say not all Children's services are like that. If course not all. But enough where the system is fraught with bad workers.
There are those saying the parents maybe the dad left it in the nightstand.
Well, maybe it was locked up properly.
Maybe the kids figured out how to get it.
Maybe you don't have the whole story and maybe its a good thing you aren't on a jury.
If the parents were negligent, then yes, they should be held accountable. But a lot of people are condemning on speculation.
In Fumo Pax Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy cigars and that's close enough.
@peter4jc I absolutely know that if a parent can't keep their kids safe, legal citizens without hitting the, then they also can't do it by hitting them either.. Sometimes, you just have to be a parent, brother. It's both as simple and as complicated as that.
@0patience I was a foster parent for 5 years in an urban district, and so I was elbow deep into the system.
Maybe maybe maybe. Maybe I said "if" and maybe I didn't say sue them all. Maybe I could get quoted correctly. And maybe that parent wants me on the jury if he/she did the right thing.
Maybe.

Ok, so when I said a lot of people, you took that as you solely?
I wasn't just talking about the discussion on the forum, but everywhere.
Being a foster parent is quite a bit different than being the foster kid or the parent trying to get their child back.
Having been a foster parent (our foster daughter considers her children our grandchildren), having been a child in the system and having been a grand parent dealing with children's services, I do have a little experience.
In Fumo Pax Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy cigars and that's close enough.
Gee wizz guys. I had a BB gun when I was 10, my great grandfathers .22 when I was 12 and my dad bought me a pump shotgun when I was 14. I was he-l on squirrels and rabbits. I hit the woods behind our house most every day after school. My hunting skills kept me alive in war. A different generation.

Over time, there has been a movement to eliminate anything that children can do.
When I was in high school, every pickup had a rifle in the back window.
Most guys wore knives on their belts.
Duck hunting in the morning before school was fairly common.
When my youngest son was in 7th grade, he was suspended because the teacher saw a swiss army knife in his backpack.
And I was "one of those parents", because I didn't understand that a swiss army knife was a weapon, not a tool.
In Fumo Pax Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy cigars and that's close enough.
I had a semi-automatic .22 when I was 10, had it my whole life until my mother died and the police found it in her house and impounded it. Wouldn't give it back to me without a license. I used to have a FID but it was long expired. I refuse to pay for the right to own a gun now, so no firearms.

I took that to mean that you meant me. Sorry, no problem, and I stand down on that one.
However, I hear what you guys are saying about the system ostensibly not letting parents discipline their children. As a child, I experienced extreme violence from both of my parents and a step parent. Extreme.
I have three children, including an adopted foster, I have never laid one hand on any of them ever for any reason and I never will. I'm telling you now that you don't have to beat up on children to make them listen to you. Anyone who's using that as an excuse is not equipped to be a parent. Period.

That is funny. As someone who was molested by clergy I know that having a job preaching is, in itself, not sacred.^^^

A six grader with a gun at school, can't be blamed on anything but poor parenting.
Don't let the wife know what you spend on guns, ammo or cigars.
