Our Secty. of State extorted about 400 million bucks from a host of foreign tyrants. It was ostensibly for a charity. Instead, she devoted a couple hundred million to bailing out the DNC. Which then handed I forget how many millions to DC lie firm Perkins Coie. Which then handed money to a political smear outfit Fusion GPS. Which then hired a retired foreign spy. Who then bought mud fabricated by a Russian spy agency. Which the spy complied into a dossier. Which our spy agencies repeatedly used to obtain fraudulent warrants from our secret police court to spy on Carter Page because that gave them a way to spy on Trump.

    With me so far?

Now, Carter Page is trying to sue Perkins Coie for defamation of character. Here's the part you can't make up:

Perkins Coie asserts that three of their partners are an oxymoron they call "stateless US citizens" who live in China. Because they are stateless, they cannot be sued in US courts. In udda woids, they are beyond reach. Because three of the partners are untouchable, the whole firm is untouchable.

    And the court swallowed it.

My, what a Brave New World we live in. It would seem that as the word "Liberal" was morphing into a synonym for "Socialist", the word "Democrat" was morphing into the word "Dystopian". Tragic future for todays young people.

So we should all buy homes in Belize and we'd be untouchable by state courts?
Cause we'd be "stateless US citizens", wouldn't we?
Or does that just count for those with money?

It really sucks he's gone man, probably the most talented metal drummer there ever was. Iv'e been watching various videos for a couple days, might have to PM them to you as most one here will not approve. The last super group band he was with pushed him hard to his limit of drumming, so damn heavy.

Want to work at Disney World? You need a vaccine. At most Florida hospitals? No vaccine, no problem!

I didn't know there was such a thing

    https://www.overshootday.org/

Earth Overshoot Day marks the date when humanity’s demand for ecological resources and services in a given year exceeds what Earth can regenerate in that year. In 2021, it fell on July 29.

Is that true? I ask because, in Florida if you're a nurse and you don't get the flu-shot every year, you lose your job. Or, so nurses I know who work in Florida say. So, if Florida is that gung-ho about the flu shot, I'd have expected pretty much the same for the covid vaccine.

    from: https://miami.cbslocal.com/2021/07/27/some-florida-health-care-workers-face-vaccine-requirements/

...Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, while calling vaccinations, has been adamant that he will not support any vaccine mandates, leaving healthcare providers in the state to deal with a potential political backlash if they go against him on the issue.

No Florida medical organization or trade group signed onto the Monday letter, and no statewide medical organization contacted by The News Service of Florida has issued a directive encouraging members to require vaccinations.

Meanwhile, according to a recent AARP report, just 42 percent of employees at the state’s 698 nursing homes had been fully vaccinated as of last month, putting Florida well behind the national average of 56 percent and ranking it second from last in the nation.

According to spokeswoman Kristen Knapp, the Florida Health Care Association, the state’s largest nursing-home trade group, has promoted national vaccination efforts, but has not issued a directive on mandatory vaccinations.

Knapp said, however, she has heard that “several” facilities across the state are working on policies that would require mandatory vaccination.

Similar to the nursing home association, the Florida Senior Living Association has not issued policies about mandatory staff vaccinations. Sandi Poreda, a spokeswoman for the association, said “we’re definitely promoting the vaccine to our members, but we’re also allowing each of them to make their own decisions about whether to mandate it.”

Jeff Scott, general counsel of the Florida Medical Association, said his organization, which represents roughly 25,000 physicians, hasn’t “considered the issue of vaccine mandates.”

Interesting. The nurses I've talked to were all in hospital environment. Could just be the policies where they worked, although the way they said it was "In Florida..."

Scientists mail freeze-dried mouse sperm on a postcard

    Posted: 05 Aug 2021 08:54 AM PDT

Scientists no longer have to worry about their bottles of mouse sperm breaking in transit. Researchers have developed a way to freeze dry sperm on a plastic sheet in weighing paper so that samples can withstand being mailed via postcard. This method allows for mouse sperm to be transported easily, inexpensively, and without the risk of glass cases breaking.
