While making a sandwich for a late lunch, I thought I heard a new kind of notification tone from one of my phones. Checked and no new notifications. Turned out the mustard jar made it's own notification noise when I set it down and the mustard dropped from the pour spout. I didn't know that condiments had notification noises.

With the hyenas coming out now the Lizard kings I really feel like it's been awhile since I bought anything so its probably okay to buy more so I check and... i bought something last Friday and then 2 weeks prior to that and a week or sonprior to that it seems to be a problem. I blame you people for all this.

Mowed my middle field while watching a bald eagle hunt the watershed.

Filled in some low spots in the backyard, planted the cherry tree, planted some grass seed, burned some sticks, and roasted some marshmallows with the kids.

As is my custom I took a walk this morning. My heart was on he ground because of the events of yesterday. All those little children. I cut up and walked through the fairgrounds. I thought what can I do? I felt lost and hopeless thinking about those innocent little kids laying ripped and torn and bloody. I've seen gunshots before. I went over to the flag pole at the fairgrounds, looked up and saw our flag at the top of the pole. I took it upon myself and lowered our flag to half mast. I was a little gesture but at the moment it was all I could do. At least I did something.
I spent many hours of my youth calculating the best way to position those rolls in order to create the greatest explosion when I hit it with a rock. Especially around age 6, when you can plot up to the point of execution without considering what would happen next. I suppose that had I ever achieved the result I was looking for I'd have probably blown my fingers off.
Actually, I blistered 'em pretty good with a firecracker a couple years later, but my little sister deserves most of the credit for that, I said "Light it right at the very end of the fuse", without specifying which end...
Hmm, those stories may shed some light as to why Calvin & Hobbes is my all time favorite comic.

Stick with your Suburban... you'll be glad you did. The longer you put off the nice expensive stuff now, the better you'll be able to afford it down the road. Especially since you have to live in accordance with the Lindsay Principle of Spending Money.

They make some really quality gutter guards these days Edward. Might be worth looking into.
Sure is getting pretty around here. Wild azaleas, dogwoods, snowball bushes and rhododren are blooming.

Chris, never knew you had a side job. @Yakster
I've always wanted to be the Yaktical Officer on a starship. Not true, just said that to tie in with the last post. I'm more a Science Officer type.
Enjoyed a breakfast of pancakes, eggs, and coffee this morning while watching a few episodes of Star Trek The Animated Series. Reliving the 70's.
Lady already sold all but 1 of her dilly beans so trying a couple other things this week
Went and finally test drove a beautiful truck but it makes me sick thinking about the cost. I have till Monday morning to decide
Will it's beauty deter you from using it like a truck?
