To whom ever left the WTF.... you know where you can jam that fully and deeply. It's an inside joke. Join the VHerf and actually get to meet people and learn who they are.

Have to agree. Any WTF or Disagree or Flag I've ever left I also post why I did it. Anyone who does that anonymous shidt has earned the title "CCuunntt", their pronoun is "Pusssy".

I have received and given some WTFs due to posts in the 'you can't make this stuff up' thread that are legitimately WTF. So there is no need to clear the anonymity in those cases. My issue is with the timorous Forum censor attitude that negative comments are divisive.

True, in the clear light of morning I suppose that my recent post above is proof that I shouldn't post when drunk, exhausted, and after a couple days of interstate driving surrounded by people who never should have been issued a driver's license. Mea culpa.

So far, both of these Vice Presidential candidates are vastly more impressive than either presidential candidate. It's nice listening to a candidate actually talk about specific policies for once while actually knowing how the laws work behind the policies.

I'm watching as we speak and it's refreshing to watch people debate with facts (taken at face value). It's the first interesting debates I've watched in a loooooooong time.

Edit. Whom ever wins this election should thank their VP for the win. These two have personally that resonates with voters no matter what side you're on.

Because he's not saying the things that you want to hear and that's ok, that's your decision but I couldn't disagree more. I think he is well informed and well spoken. Clearly he has notes and seems to be taking notes throughout. I'm assuming that you, and many others went into watching the debate already anointing JD the winner before a word was spoken because he has the (R) next to his name which is also fine with me. I try to listen to the debates on the policies whether I agree with them or not. I thought both came across as intelligent, passionate and well informed. Both of them may actually be better candidates then their running mates.....

Spoke with Faye after watching, we'd both reached the same conclusion: Either of these would be better than either of the Presidential candidates. It was like watching a couple of fully grown-up statesmen having a debate, instead of the usual playground noise we've heard from the other two.

I thought this debate went much better than the presidential debate, as a matter of fact, i feel like i watched a presidential debate. As an independent, id like to see Vance run one day. I think Vance/Ramswany would be a great choice for the Republican party in 2028.

Waltz is definitely a better speaker than Harris but still believes in far far left policies

You know I agree with you, but let me tell you where you're wrong... As if the only definition of a jackass is what Google found for you.

Let's just say a person with a (R) behind their name, like @ShawnOL, would say he's a jackass for the extremely progressive laws that passed in the state he was the governor of, laws that I think even you wouldn't support, so why call out Shawn and defend someone like Walz?

I guess I'm just going off the Definition. Because I disagree with somebody doesn't make them stupid. Their opinions just differ from mine. I guess I failed to see where either one of them are stupid

  • peter4jcpeter4jc Posts: 16,471 ✭✭✭✭✭

Someone can be a jackass w/o being stupid. I'm living proof of that.

But if I keep this up, I will be both a jackass and stupid, so... over and out.

Also, within the context of his statement, knucklehead is a euphemism for liar.

Is this where I step in and say that words mean what people think they mean? I know Bob loves that 🤣😅😹.

It's true though. And it's each person's right to be responsible with language, or irresponsible. If most people in the world think the word jackass means somebody stupid, and Shawn thinks it means that somebody who is Democrat, that when he says someone is a jackass, people think he's referring to someone who is stupid. If Shawn was actually referring to someone who is Democrat, then he miscommunicated with his intended audience.

If Shawn really means that all Democrats are stupid and therefore jackasses, then he communicated what he intended to communicate and it was received as intended. I think this is the case. Either way, people make assumptions, right or wrong, about the meaning behind your words.
