@jsnake, I received some info from the Savinelli customer service on the pipe you sold me.
Janice emailed me:
* Made in the early 1980's (limited production)
* Cost $225 when new
* Value today $250 - $275
My purchased price is almost 65% off.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to buy this, it lives up to everything you wrote in your description of it.
That tobacco sampler you sent with it is MONEY!

Your welcomed. Enjoy. I keep telling you guys I'll give you great deals if you want a new pipe. I'd rather give you guys I know a deal then sell to others. I really like that pipe and kept one for myself. I'm a big fan of Savinelli so it was hard to let go.2

Woah that is one awesome pipe! You'e got a great one there, Mark. I can see why it would have been hard to let go of.“Happiness? A good cigar, a good meal, a good cigar and a good woman – or a bad woman; it depends on how much happiness you can handle.” – George Burns1

I've been hit by @LoneSmoker. Hand carved tamper and a couple ounces of Stokkebye English Luxury. It's a great looking and smelling blend I'm sure will elbow it's way into my rotation

That's a nice hit. I really hope you like tampers...Hey, you gonna eat the rest of that corndog?1

I do have plenty. I buy a half dozen cheapies on every order. It seems I lose them or give them away pretty often0

wrong thread, again, sorry.-1

Mom found me a pipe and holder in an antique shop today. First of the inventory for my estate pipe business.“Happiness? A good cigar, a good meal, a good cigar and a good woman – or a bad woman; it depends on how much happiness you can handle.” – George Burns4 -
I'm pretty sure the displayer isn't familiar with pipes but it's a neat find anyway0
-
Yeah I have no idea. Never made it home last night with the weather so I'll get a better look at it later on today. If not, I'm sure somebody on ebay will want it lol.“Happiness? A good cigar, a good meal, a good cigar and a good woman – or a bad woman; it depends on how much happiness you can handle.” – George Burns0

I'm not sure how well that canister would hold humidity for tobacco storage but I bet it would hold about five years supply of pipe cleaners. If you do decide it's not for you, might you holler at me before you list it on the bay?1
-
Absolutely! That or all of your pipe tools. If you did want to store tobacco in it, just throw in a mason jar. One would easily fit.Captain_Call said:I'm not sure how well that canister would hold humidity for tobacco storage but I bet it would hold about five years supply of pipe cleaners. Because I can't find this particular model anywhere on the web, I'm gonna do some searching before I decide what to do with it. I started up a discussion on here so we don't hog up the what did you get today section...https://forum.cigar.com/discussion/899087/need-help-with-value#latest“Happiness? Oops. I meant to get you a tracking number for that...2

It's an IPSD miracle Charlie Brown. The great @Stubble commissioned a custom tamper for me that arrived right on international pipe smoking day.

Love that wizard @Captain_Call“Happiness? A good cigar, a good meal, a good cigar and a good woman – or a bad woman; it depends on how much happiness you can handle.” – George Burns0

I don't know what drew me into it. It strays so far from my normal style. I'll have to see how it goes. The bowl looks like it will last about 3 hours. A pipe of that size requires sitting still. I don't think I'm capable of such a thing1

My legs get bored and want to walk around. And it just seems impractical to smoke a pipe that rounds the corner a half step before the rest of me0
-
Picked up a vintage Electra Prestige estate pipe. Nice little pipe but a teeny tiny bowl.
