Always astonishing. No end in sight. We are divided between the party of spend more and the party of tax less. Which approach reduces debt?

Ryan sez going after Social Security and Medicare is next in an attempt to rein in federal spending. Meanwhile:

Cowen estimates that Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN), Google (GOOG, GOOGL) and Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) will save a combined $4.5B on taxes in 2018 thanks to the GOP tax bill, while the tech giants should also benefit from the measure's capex expensing provision. The firm forecasts those savings to translate into big EPS boosts for each company, with Amazon boasting an expected upside of 24%. Google and Facebook will both get an EPS bump of 8%.

The last pair of Nike's I bought fell apart within 2 months. Where do I sign up to protest them?

    Jingle Bells is racist?

    http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/12/15/jingle-bells-rooted-in-racism-boston-university-professor-says.html

Does that mean I won't be able to laugh my arse off when the guys in their underwear come on TV and start dancing to it, and my wife is laughing so hard she ends up on the floor in a totally uncontrolled fit of loud, fanatic and did I say LOUD laughter. It is one of the few things everyone looks forward to.

    The Moore-mobile broke down.

Tho someone quipped that Jones' margin of victory was so small that Moore was tempted to molest it.

I'd comment on this, but the forum censor won't allow the words I want to use, what a world....

Remember when free speech applied to everyone?

Good point, I probably should have said "when we used to pretend that...".

Still, I think we're getting a lot closer to Fahrenheit 451.

And, I say again, it's coming at us from both sides.

    Free speech?????????????????????????????????????????

How can you have free speech when no one knows the truth about anything?
The FBI, "Colleges" , msm, hollywood and so many other travesties handing out one lie after another.
MY God, "Jingle Bells" is racist......................

Find the truth and then talk about it.

There is the rub......finding the truth. If you get all the news from the same source or even different sources from a similar viewpoint then you only get one side of what's out there.

Where the $%\! is Walter Cronkite when we need him.

The problem with the truth is the the. That's the whole reason for unfettered speech.
