    Suede shoes (mine weren’t blue, they were a beautiful doeskin grey and they went wonderfully well with my hunter-green pegged slacks, pegged to “a tight 16”...)

    The slacks had a rise a bit higher than normal and ‘tunnel loops’ instead of belt loops. The higher rise was a carryover (I think) from the zoot suits.
